About the role#
Spencer Construction is looking for a dependable intern to support daily operations and ongoing projects. This role offers hands-on experience in the construction industry, allowing you to apply classroom knowledge to real-world tasks. You will work alongside experienced team members to learn about business operations, construction processes, and project management.
What you'll do#
- Assist team members with daily tasks, projects, and administrative duties.
- Support project coordination, documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping.
- Maintain accurate project files, spreadsheets, and company records.
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and project discussions.
- Learn company procedures, safety requirements, and industry best practices.
- Communicate project progress to management and team members.
- Complete assigned tasks accurately and meet established deadlines.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or recent graduation from an accredited college, university, or trade school.
- Interest in construction, engineering, business, or a related field.
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependability, punctuality, and a willingness to take direction.
- A desire to learn new processes, systems, and technical skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Tucson, Arizona.
- Pay: $20 per hour.
- Schedule: Part-time or full-time based on department needs and your availability.
- Term: Rolling, typically by semester or summer with the possibility of extension.
- Work Modality: On-site in an office, at a construction site, or a combination of both.
