About the role#
As an Electrical Intern, you will work alongside the electrical engineering team on spacecraft hardware. This role involves direct contributions to the design, testing, and integration of electronic systems for upcoming missions.
What you'll do#
- Support schematic capture and PCB layout for spacecraft avionics.
- Assist with harness design, wiring, and integration.
- Help bring up, test, and debug electronic boards and subsystems.
- Support electrical testing, including power, signal integrity, and functional tests.
- Contribute to documentation, test reports, and design reviews.
- Assist with lab setup, instrumentation, and test equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineers.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with basic electronics, circuit analysis, and lab instrumentation.
- Exposure to at least one programming language, such as Python, C, or C++.
- Eagerness to learn and solve complex engineering problems.
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools like Altium or KiCad is preferred.
- Experience with microcontrollers, sensors, or embedded systems.
- Proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other lab test equipment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: This is an on-site, full-time position.
- Note: Extended hours and weekend work may be required to support critical project and mission milestones.
