About the role#
Spaceium Inc. is building spacecraft systems for orbit. As an Electrical Intern, you will work directly with our engineering team on real spacecraft hardware. This is a hands-on position focused on the design, testing, and integration of electronic systems for our upcoming missions.
What you'll do#
- Support schematic capture and PCB layout for spacecraft avionics.
- Assist with harness design, wiring, and system integration.
- Help bring up, test, and debug electronic boards and subsystems.
- Run electrical tests including power, signal integrity, and functional verification.
- Contribute to technical documentation, test reports, and design reviews.
- Assist with lab setup, instrumentation, and maintenance of test equipment.
- Collaborate across teams with mechanical, software, and systems engineers.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with basic electronics, circuit analysis, and lab instrumentation.
- Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, C, or C++.
- Hands-on experience with personal or academic electronics projects.
- Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout tools like Altium or KiCad.
- Experience with microcontrollers, sensors, or embedded systems.
- Comfort using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other lab test equipment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A creative approach to problem-solving and first-principles thinking.

- Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: This is a full-time, on-site role at our Ottawa facility.
