About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the Enterprise Risk Management team at Southwest Gas Corporation. You will work on projects related to analytics, compliance, and business operations. This role offers a foundation for careers in finance, audit, risk, or consulting through mentorship and exposure to corporate processes. You will learn about ERM fundamentals, business continuity, and internal controls.
What you'll do#
- Collect and organize risk-related data using GRC tools.
- Identify and document organizational risks.
- Take meeting notes and track action items.
- Maintain ERM and business continuity documentation.
- Support process improvement initiatives.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Senior or master student status.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications is a plus.

- Location: Las Vegas, Nevada.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Work modality: Hybrid.
- Schedule: Minimum of 20 hours per week.
- Compensation: $22.00 to $27.00 per hour.
- Employment: This is a paid, part-time position. Interns are hired through a third-party vendor. Sponsorship is not provided for this role.
