About the role#
Major Ambassadors serve as mentors for first-year students. You will help new students feel welcome in their chosen field of study. This role involves connecting with freshmen and ensuring they meet faculty and support staff within their department. You will work an average of 2 hours per week, though hours may fluctuate from zero to 10 hours depending on event schedules.
What you'll do#
- Work closely with full-time faculty in your major.
- Create and promote events for students within your department.
- Facilitate workshops and sessions specifically for first-year students.
- Attend events unique to your field of study.
- Lead workshops for new students prior to registration.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Undergraduate On-Campus Day program at SNHU.
- Status as an upper-class student.
- An endorsement from a faculty member in your department.
- Dependability and flexibility in your schedule.
- Ability to maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.

- Location: Manchester, New Hampshire (On-site).
- Compensation: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour.
- Employment type: Part-time.
