About the role#
This position supports the campus Cupboard and Closet at Southern New Hampshire University. These spaces provide resources to community members who lack consistent access to food and other basic needs. You will help manage these facilities and assist students who use them.
What you'll do#
- Manage inventory by restocking shelves, organizing supplies, and assisting with the pickup and delivery of donated items from local partners.
- Welcome users to the Cupboard and Closet, explaining basic guidelines during their first visit.
- Provide customer service and peer support, incorporating concepts like the cycle of poverty and intercultural competencies.
- Perform regular cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Design flyers and social media content to promote programs.
- Represent the Cupboard and Closet at outreach events and tabling sessions.
- Assist with data tracking by creating and distributing surveys.
- Help organize connections with local, regional, and national groups that support users.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a SNHU degree program.
- Inclusion of work study as part of your financial aid package.
Location & details#
- This role is on-site in New Hampshire.
- This is a part-time position.
- The hourly pay range is $13.00 to $15.00.
