About the role#
The Office of Diversity Programs is looking for experienced students to serve as Project Leaders. This role is for student employees who have shown initiative and a commitment to inclusion at SNHU. You will act as a project manager and peer leader, providing strategic direction for departmental initiatives and mentoring new student staff.
What you'll do#
- Lead major departmental initiatives, including the annual Soul Food Dinner.
- Plan and execute between 2 and 6 programs or events each month, handling tasks like guest coordination and event setup.
- Create digital and print content to promote events and messaging.
- Support daily center operations, such as managing inventory and maintaining the lounge space.
- Collaborate with campus partners to build community and foster an inclusive environment.
What you'll need#
- At least one semester of successful service as an Agent of Change or a comparable campus leadership role.
- Experience planning at least one previous Soul Food Dinner event.
- A clear understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion concepts.
- Proficiency with basic computer tools and familiarity with Instagram and TikTok.
- Current enrollment in an SNHU Undergraduate or Graduate Day program.
- Positive standing with Community Standards and Academics.
Location & details#
- This position is located in New Hampshire and requires on-site work.
- This is a part-time role with a schedule of 8-12 hours per week.
- Shifts typically fall between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with some weekend work required.
- Weekly staff meetings are held on Tuesdays from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
- The hourly pay range is $13.00 to $15.00.
