About the role#
The 2027 Summer Internship with the Domain team at Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits offers students a chance to explore how technology supports the wine and spirits distribution industry. This program focuses on building technical skills while gaining exposure to the three-tier beverage distribution system. Interns will engage in training, attend on-site meetings, and participate in department-wide learning opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of microservices guided by our AI platform.
- Apply software development best practices across various projects.
- Assist in creating knowledge repository documentation using our AI platform.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to prioritize activities.
- Complete an end-of-internship project and present findings to management.
- Work on assigned tasks within Digital and Technology areas.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 21 years old by the start of the internship.
- Currently a college junior, graduating the following year.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Sales, or Project Management.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, and SQL.
- Understanding of web applications, APIs, microservices, and cloud technologies.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and prompt engineering.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work through ambiguity and collaborate as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with statistical concepts and survey tools.
