About the role#
Peer Tutors provide academic support to students in Mathematics, Business Mathematics, Statistics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. This role involves working with students in one-on-one or small-group settings to improve their understanding of course material. Tutors work between 2 and 4 hours per week, with the requirement to be available for evening and weekend shifts.
What you'll do#
- Provide academic assistance in group or individual settings.
- Help students improve their academic capabilities and understanding of specific subjects.
- Foster positive attitudes toward learning and serve as a role model for students.
- Promote academic integrity and independent learning.
- Track and record attendance of tutees.
- Attend periodic training or orientation sessions as required.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
What you'll need#
- Current registration in or acceptance to a post-secondary or equivalent program, with active enrollment maintained during employment.
- Completion of the course you intend to tutor with a grade of A or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of previous tutoring experience is preferred.

- Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Part-time, 2-4 hours per week.
- Pay: $20.00 per hour.
