About the role#
South Ogden City is hiring a part-time IT Intern to support our technology operations. This position offers flexible hours, making it a fit for students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related fields. You will gain hands-on experience by working on a variety of municipal technology systems, ranging from daily workstation troubleshooting to larger Citywide IT projects.
What you'll do#
- Provide first-line technical support to City employees.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Install and maintain computers, workstations, and peripheral equipment.
- Support City applications, email systems, MDTs, and public-safety technology.
- Assist with network connectivity and various IT projects.
- Collaborate with City staff and third-party IT professionals to resolve technical issues.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a related field of study.
- Approximately one year of related IT experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic knowledge of computers, hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Valid Utah driver's license.
- Ability to pass a BCI background check.

- Location: South Ogden, Utah.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $24 to $29 per hour, depending on experience.
- Schedule: Part-time with flexible hours.
