About the role#
Soccer Shots Pittsburgh is looking for coaching interns to help lead youth soccer sessions. This role involves working with children to provide a positive experience on the field. You will manage a personalized schedule of 10 to 15 hours per week. This position requires you to work independently, as much of our team communication happens through email, text, and video conferencing.
What you'll do#
- Lead a set number of Soccer Shots sessions each week, with each session lasting between 30 minutes and 1 hour.
- Run demo classes at new or prospective locations.
- Support the Director of Coaching and Coaching Coordinator with staff evaluations and reviews.
- Train other members of the coaching staff.
- Assist with preparations for seasonal coach training meetings.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the curriculum and provide feedback on lesson plans.
- Represent the company at community events such as open houses or school nights.
- Help with seasonal marketing tasks like distributing flyers and yard signs.

- A laptop with a reliable internet connection.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a self-regulating manner with minimal oversight.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, part-time role based in Moon Township, Pennsylvania.
- The internship follows a rolling schedule.
- Coaching sessions are paid, while non-coaching duties are unpaid. Academic credit may be available if your school approves the experience.
