About the role#
Soccer Shots Pittsburgh is looking for coaching interns to help lead youth soccer sessions. You will work under the supervision of the Director of Programming and Coaching Coordinators to deliver sessions and support staff development. This role involves a flexible, yet consistent, weekly schedule of 10 to 15 hours. We operate year-round with seasonal terms lasting 8 to 11 weeks. This is a paid position, and we can work with your school if you need to earn academic credit.
What you'll do#
- Coach a set number of Soccer Shots sessions each week, ranging from 30 minutes to 1 hour per session.
- Run demo sessions at new and prospective locations.
- Support the Director of Coaching and Coaching Coordinator with staff evaluations and training.
- Assist with preparations for seasonal coach training meetings.
- Provide feedback on lesson plans and maintain knowledge of the curriculum.
- Represent the company at community events like open houses and back to school nights.
- Help with marketing efforts, including the distribution of flyers and yard signs.

- A reliable personal vehicle for travel to various locations in the greater Pittsburgh area.
- A laptop with reliable internet access.
- A personable, communicative, and engaging personality.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
- Work is on-site at various locations including Schenley Park, Frick Park, McKees Rocks, Bridgeville, Scott Township, Mt. Lebanon, Greentree, Bellevue, Sewickley, Whitehall, Bethel Park, and Allison Park.
- This is a part-time, paid internship.
