About the role#
Soccer Shots Pittsburgh is looking for coaching interns to support our youth programs in the North region. This role involves a mix of direct coaching and administrative support. You will work 10 to 15 hours per week on a schedule that stays consistent throughout each 8 to 11 week season. While some coaching duties are paid, please note that non-coaching tasks are unpaid, though we are happy to coordinate with your school if you need academic credit.
What you'll do#
- Lead a set number of youth soccer sessions each week.
- Run demo classes at new or prospective locations.
- Support the coaching staff by conducting evaluations and reviews.
- Assist with the planning and execution of seasonal training meetings.
- Review lesson plans and provide regular feedback on the curriculum.
- Represent the company at community events like school nights or open houses.
- Distribute marketing materials, including flyers and yard signs.
What you'll need#
- A reliable, personable, and engaging personality.
- Consistent weekly availability for the duration of the season.
- Reliable personal transportation to travel to various coaching sites.
- A laptop with a stable internet connection for remote communication.
- Self-motivation, as you will work independently with occasional in-person team contact.

- This position is based in McCandless, Pennsylvania, with sessions held across the North region.
- Work is on-site at various coaching locations.
- This is a part-time, rolling internship.
- Paid training is provided, and you will typically start as an alternate coach before moving into a head coach role.
