About the role#
This paid internship provides a hands-on training environment within a swine facility. You will gain a practical understanding of production processes and how they support company efforts. The program is designed to help you apply your education to real-life experiences over a typical 10-week period.
What you'll do#
- Train daily in a swine facility to learn production processes.
- Perform duties under the supervision of your department leader.
- Comply with all environmental laws and procedures.
- Report any environmental issues to your supervisor immediately.
- Review and understand the emergency notification process for your work site.
- Carry out additional duties as defined by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program at a regionally accredited college or university, or recent graduation.
- A preference for agriculture-related majors.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A proactive mindset and self-motivation.
- Ability to manage your time, projects, and tasks effectively.
- A team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently.
- You must be able to stand and walk on concrete for 9 to 12 hours per day.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs and perform frequent bending, stooping, and climbing.
- Willingness to work in environments with dust, odors, animal dander, and noise.
- Comfort working around a range of antibiotics.

- Location: Jamesport, Missouri.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, including weekends and holidays, averaging 48 hours per week.
- Term: Rolling.
