About the role#
Lakeside Foods is hiring a Field Scout/Sampler for the 2027 season. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Plainview, Minnesota. The role runs from mid-June through mid-October, covering the summer and fall terms.
What you'll do#
- Visit harvesting sites to take population counts.
- Identify weeds, insects, and diseases in the field.
- Pretest product to determine harvest timing.
- Assess field access driveways.
- Map out field locations for harvest crews.
What you'll need#
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- The ability to work outdoors in various conditions.
- Students pursuing degrees in Agriculture, Biology, or related fields are encouraged to apply.

- Location: Plainview, MN.
- Term: Summer 2027 and Fall 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $16.50 to $18.00 per hour, depending on experience and education.
