About the role#
We are looking for a Thermal Technologist Intern to join our engineering team. You will support our efforts in designing and testing high-efficiency thermal systems. This is a paid, full-time internship based in Dorval, Quebec. The role follows a rolling term and requires you to work on-site.
What you'll do#
- Assist in 3D mechanical design and modelling of components and assemblies.
- Perform analyses on the thermal and structural integrity of designs.
- Identify potential improvements for structures and thermal components.
- Help the mechanical design team prepare 3D models, drawings, and submittals.
- Conduct and analyze system performance tests to validate and improve thermal designs.
- Develop models for main system components of both existing and new products.
- Create detailed layouts to determine dimensions and check clearances.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in French and English to communicate with our local and international teams.
- An analytical mindset with an interest in energy-efficient system design.
- Knowledge of Python, MATLAB, or C++ is an asset.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems and CFD/FEA tools is an asset.
