About the role#
SimVentions offers an 11-week paid internship program for students interested in technology and cybersecurity. This role provides hands-on experience working alongside experienced security professionals. You will contribute to real-world projects and gain exposure to the tools, policies, and practices used in the industry.
What you'll do#
- Support cybersecurity initiatives, including security monitoring and risk analysis.
- Assist with vulnerability assessments and the implementation of security controls.
- Work directly with security professionals to build your technical skills.
What you'll need#
- You must have completed your freshman year of college by the start of the internship and be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior.
- Enrollment in a relevant degree program, such as computer science, computer engineering, systems engineering, software engineering, or cybersecurity.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive attitude and a desire to learn.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Previous coursework or experience in cybersecurity is a plus.
