About the role#
This internship offers students enrolled in agriculture programs the chance to gain hands-on experience within the Simplot Grower Solutions trade area. You will split your time between operational tasks during the peak season and agronomy duties as the season progresses. This position requires both indoor and outdoor work and involves regular interaction with management, staff, and clients.
What you'll do#
- Manage product movement and organization, including loading and unloading for customers and suppliers.
- Handle daily operational tasks such as treating seed, conducting inventory counts twice a week, and completing loadout tickets.
- Maintain the site by clearing debris, mowing grass, and leveling gravel.
- Scout three assigned fields throughout the growing season and track data using AgWorld.
- Consult with local Agronomists and leads to support the agPROVE trial program, including field signing, data capture, and assisting with customer tour days.
- Participate in ride-alongs with Account Managers and Ag Innovation Leads.
- Complete the Winfield United Agronomy and Intern Training Program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program within the agriculture industry.
- A valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Ability to perform manual labor and tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- Commitment to professional conduct, safety standards, and confidentiality.
