About the role#
This internship offers exposure to all aspects of the business at Simon Quick Advisors. You will work as a generalist, supporting both client service and investment research teams. We look for students interested in a career in finance or financial planning who want to gain practical experience in an investment management firm.
What you'll do#
- Provide daily administrative support, such as scanning documents, filing statements, and answering phones.
- Assist the client service team in preparing portfolio analytics and presentation materials for meetings.
- Participate in client calls regarding market outlook, portfolio performance, and financial planning.
- Create manager profiles in our proprietary database and coordinate with investor relations departments.
- Attend investment research team meetings and take detailed notes on manager calls.
- Research macro events that impact the investment community.
What you'll need#
- You are a Junior or Senior pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
- You have proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
- You are self-motivated and can work well both independently and in a team.
- You possess strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- You have a strong attention to detail.
- While not required, knowledge of investing and financial markets is helpful.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship based in Morristown, New Jersey.
- The term runs from the beginning of January 2027 through the end of May 2027.
- This role is strictly on-site.
