About the role#
As a Healthcare & Life Sciences Division Intern at Simon-Kucher, you will join specialized teams focused on commercial strategy, pricing, and sales. You will work on projects within the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical technology, and digital health sectors. This is a paid, full-time internship designed for students to gain experience in management consulting.
What you'll do#
- Support go-to-market strategies, product launches, and sales effectiveness initiatives.
- Use data-driven insights to help identify new revenue opportunities and competitive advantages.
- Assist in designing and implementing commercial models.
- Analyze pricing data, customer needs, behaviors, and market trends.
- Optimize pricing structures, discounting models, and value-based pricing strategies.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to guide business decisions.
- Develop financial models, customer segmentation analyses, and pricing simulations.
- Work closely with clients to ensure recommendations are practical and actionable.
- Craft presentations and reports to communicate findings.
- Participate in client workshops, discussions, and presentations.
- Contribute to internal capability-building and business development initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or master's program.
- Degree pursuit in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, bioengineering, public health, life sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
- Ability to intern in the United States for 9 weeks from June 7 to August 6, 2027.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including comfort with pricing models, sales data, and financial metrics.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SQL or Python is a plus.
- Self-starter mindset.
- Consulting club or industry group experience is valued.
