About the role#
The Graduate Assistant for Programming Council and Student Organization Support works with the Associate Director of the Jennifer Eckert Center for Leadership and Engagement. This role focuses on advising student organizations and the Programming Council. You will work on-campus in an office and event environment.
What you'll do#
- Provide event planning support to student organizations and coordinate logistical details across campus departments.
- Support the Programming Council in planning and executing community-building activities.
- Assist student leaders with managing event budgets, resource allocation, and logistical workflows.
- Become a content expert on the Campus Connect student engagement platform to provide training and troubleshooting for users.
- Guide student leaders on marketing events through social media and design tools.
- Serve as front-desk support and provide general administrative assistance for the office.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree and current enrollment in a graduate program in good standing.
- Outstanding attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Interest in event planning and student leadership development.
- Proficiency with Canva and Google Suite.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for event setups.
Location & details#
- Location: Boston, Massachusetts.
- Schedule: 16 hours per week for 30 weeks during the academic year.
- Compensation: $8,000.
- Work modality: On-site.
- This is a paid, part-time, non-benefits eligible position.
