About the role#
Simmons Foods offers interns the chance to work on projects that address real-world challenges. You will build cross-functional relationships and gain experience through a mix of project-based assignments and daily operational tasks. At the end of the summer, you will present your findings to senior leadership.
What you'll do#
- Execute project work to solve specific business problems.
- Perform daily tasks to learn the fundamentals of our processes.
- Build a culture of continuous improvement to reduce waste.
- Ensure all work meets USDA and FDA quality guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings to help develop and implement company policies.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, or Agriculture.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of business and management principles.
- Ability to work on your feet for several hours at a time.
- Ability to lift at least 10 pounds.
