About the role#
This internship offers the chance to work on projects that impact the organization. You will gain experience through a mix of project-based work and daily tasks that help you understand process fundamentals. The role involves working across departments to support business objectives.
What you'll do#
- Complete a solution-seeking project tailored to department needs and present your findings to senior leaders and the team.
- Perform daily tasks to learn process fundamentals and support business operations.
- Build a culture of continuous improvement by finding ways to reduce waste.
- Meet quality standards that align with USDA and FDA guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings, policy implementation, and the development of team concepts.
- Maintain familiarity with operating systems and communicate your ideas for improvement.
- Work on your feet for multiple hours and lift at least 10 pounds.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree program in a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
- Knowledge of business and management principles.
- A willingness to lead, take charge, and offer direction.
- Experience in manufacturing or poultry is preferred.
