This is a full-time, paid internship position for the Fall 2026 term based in Toronto, Ontario. You will join the City Solutions team to gain hands-on experience in traffic and municipal engineering through active participation in infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the preparation of transportation impact studies, functional plans, and multimodal corridor concepts.
- Conduct multimodal transportation network planning, traffic operations investigations, and parking demand studies.
- Support project delivery by performing high-level AutoCAD quantity take-offs and assisting with cost estimates.
- Develop graphics, maps, and presentation materials for urban design and planning studies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil3D, or ArcGIS.
- Prior experience in preparing transportation studies and functional servicing reports is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
