Electrical Engineering Intern/Co-Op

About the role#

Sidara is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern or Co-Op to join the Victoria, British Columbia office. This position offers a 4- to 8-month placement where you will support engineering staff on a variety of projects. You will work within a collaborative environment to gain hands-on experience and develop technical skills in the built environment.

What you'll do#

• Become familiar with engineering plans and project details.
• Perform quantity take-offs and assist with computer modeling.
• Assist with project monitoring, scheduling, and the production of progress reports.
• Collaborate with engineers, drafters, and support staff.
• Assist in the production of engineering drawings, calculations, and cost estimates under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Apply appropriate codes and standards to engineering deliverables.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
• Exposure to Computer-aided design software, such as AutoCAD or Revit.
• Strong commitment to innovation and continuous learning.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.

• Compensation: $20 to $30 per hour.
