Intern Engineering Designer, Bridge

About the role#

Sidara is seeking an Intern Engineering Designer for the Bridge team for the Summer 2026 term. This full-time, paid internship provides an opportunity to support engineers on a variety of infrastructure projects through hands-on work and professional collaboration.

What you'll do#

• Become familiar with engineering plans and details.
• Perform quantity take-offs.
• Assist with project monitoring, scheduling, and the production of progress reports.
• Assist with computer modeling.
• Support the production of engineering drawings, calculations, and cost estimates under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Apply proper codes and standards to engineering deliverables.
• Attend site visits and inspections.

What you'll need#

• Current 3rd or 4th-year undergraduate standing or Graduate student status in an accredited Civil Engineering program (BS degree preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Experience with engineering software such as SAP 2000 or CSI Bridge is preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is preferred.
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
