This is a full-time, paid internship position for the Summer of 2026. You will work on-site in Coral Gables, Florida, supporting bridge engineering projects under the guidance of senior staff.
What you'll do#
- Become familiar with engineering plans and details.
- Perform quantity take-offs.
- Assist with project monitoring, scheduling, and computer modeling.
- Produce progress reports.
- Assist in the production of engineering drawings, calculations, and cost estimates under the close supervision of senior engineers.
- Apply proper codes and standards to engineering deliverables.
- Attend site visits and inspections.
What you'll need#
- Current 3rd or 4th year undergraduate standing or Graduate student status in an accredited Civil Engineering program (BS degree preferred).
- Experience with MS Word and Excel.
- Preferred experience with engineering software such as SAP 2000 or CSI Bridge.
- Preferred experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

- Location: Coral Gables, Florida.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $20 to $30 per hour.
