About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in IT support and cybersecurity operations. You will work with the Service Desk team to support business technology while gaining insight into how enterprise IT teams manage daily operations. You will also collaborate with fellow interns on a strategic capstone project.
What you'll do#
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users using the Freshservice ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across different platforms.
- Handle onboarding and offboarding tasks, including equipment provisioning and account setup.
- Document technical solutions to help build internal knowledge resources.
- Shadow the Cybersecurity team to learn about threat monitoring, incident response, and risk management.
- Assist with supervised tasks like log reviews, alert responses, and vulnerability scan reviews.
- Participate in the planning, research, and execution of a cross-departmental capstone project.
- Present your project findings and outcomes to leadership at the end of the term.
What you'll need#
- Current Junior or Senior status in a degree program for Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and basic networking concepts.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication abilities.
- Interest in both cybersecurity and IT operations.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
