About the role#
This position offers practical experience for students pursuing careers in pharmacy or related health fields. Working in a community retail setting, you will support the daily operations of the pharmacy while gaining hands-on training in patient care and pharmacy management. This role is designed to prepare future pharmacists for success by bridging academic knowledge with real-world community practice.
What you'll do#
- Deliver health, beauty, and convenience services to the community.
- Maintain a customer-centric approach to ensure an exceptional shopping experience.
- Acknowledge and assist all customers approaching the pharmacy.
- Ensure all privacy requirements, including confidentiality and consent management, are strictly met.
- Manage retail pharmacy tasks and enhance your knowledge of over-the-counter products.
- Develop professional communication skills with patients, staff, and other healthcare workers.
- Learn disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling techniques.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
- A commitment to providing high-quality service and supporting patient needs.
- Ability to work in a community pharmacy environment.
