About the role#
This position offers practical experience for students pursuing a career in pharmacy within a community retail setting. You will work under a local Associate-Owner, gaining exposure to the expanding role of the community pharmacist while receiving support from a national brand. This role is designed to bridge the gap between academic studies and real-world practice.
What you'll do#
- Acknowledge all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including customer confidentiality and consent management.
- Maintain clear visibility to the public while on duty.
- Participate in the daily practice of pharmacy in a community setting.
- Develop the skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy and prepare for a career as a community pharmacist.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Public Health, Nursing, or Health Administration.
- A passion for providing exceptional customer service.
- An interest in enhancing communication skills with patients, staff, and other health care workers.
- Knowledge of OTC products, disease state management, and drug therapy.
- A willingness to develop patient counseling skills.
