About the role#
This position offers practical experience for students pursuing careers in pharmacy within a community retail setting. You will work in a locally owned store to support the delivery of health, beauty, and convenience services while gaining real-world training to complement your academic studies.
What you'll do#
- Acknowledge and assist all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including maintaining customer confidentiality and managing consent.
- Maintain a professional presence and remain clearly identifiable to the public.
- Provide an exceptional service experience for pharmacy customers.
- Support the broader delivery of health and wellness services in the community.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Health Administration, or Biomedical Sciences.
- Strong customer service orientation and communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare workers.
- Knowledge of over-the-counter (OTC) products.
- Ability to develop patient counseling skills and understand disease state management.
- Commitment to upholding privacy standards and professional conduct.
