About the role#
This position offers practical experience for students pursuing careers in pharmacy. You will work in a community pharmacy setting to learn about the evolving roles of pharmacists and gain real-world training that complements your academic studies. This role is designed to prepare future pharmacists for success in community practice.
What you'll do#
- Deliver health, beauty, and convenience services while keeping the customer at the center of your work.
- Acknowledge all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including maintaining customer confidentiality and managing consent.
- Enhance your communication skills with patients, employees, and other healthcare workers.
- Develop your knowledge of over-the-counter products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
- Learn the skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant program, such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
- A commitment to providing an exceptional experience for pharmacy customers.
- Ability to be clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
