Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

This position offers practical, real-world training for students in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, or Public Health. Interns will gain exposure to the daily operations of a community pharmacy, learning about the expanding roles of the pharmacist and preparing for a successful career in the field.

What you'll do#

• Acknowledge and assist all customers approaching the pharmacy.
• Provide an exceptional shopping experience while delivering health, beauty, and convenience services.
• Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including customer confidentiality and consent management.
• Maintain clear identification to the public while on duty.
• Develop skills in disease state management, drug therapy, and retail pharmacy operations.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, or Public Health.
• Experience in a community pharmacy setting.
• Knowledge of OTC products and an understanding of drug therapy.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and healthcare workers.
• Ability to perform patient counseling.

• Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour.
