About the role#
This Pharmacy Intern position offers practical experience in a community pharmacy setting. You will work under a local Associate-Owner, gaining exposure to the expanding role of the community pharmacist while receiving real-world training to complement your academic studies.
What you'll do#
- Acknowledge all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including customer confidentiality and consent management.
- Provide an exceptional shopping experience and deliver health, beauty, and convenience services.
- Maintain a professional presence and remain identifiable to the public.
- Engage in training related to disease state management, drug therapy, and pharmacy operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a program related to Pharmaceutical Sciences, Public Health, Nursing, or Health Administration.
- Knowledge of over-the-counter (OTC) products and drug therapy.
- Understanding of disease state management and patient counseling techniques.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
