About the role#
The Performance Coatings Group Creative Services team is seeking a Creative and Marketing Communications Co-Op to provide daily support to the Content team. You will expand our content capacity while gaining practical experience across the creative asset lifecycle. This role focuses on editorial quality, content development at scale, and production readiness to ensure communications are accurate and consistent across channels.
What you'll do#
- Adapt approved source material into content for various formats, channels, and audiences.
- Support content research, source material review, and editorial preparation.
- Assist in the development, review, and quality assurance of creative assets.
- Apply established content standards, governance practices, and brand voice principles.
- Participate in editorial reviews, creative discussions, and content interviews.
- Collaborate with content, design, video, and photo team members.
- Gain exposure to AI-enabled tools for research, quality assurance, and production workflows.
- Build skills in audience-first content strategy and narrative flow.
- Incorporate feedback to improve writing, editing, and research skills over time.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Marketing, Fine Arts, or Creative Writing.
- Available for a 9 to 12 month co-op assignment.
- Ability to work 37.5 hours per week during the summer and 15 to 20 hours per week during the academic year.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of AP Style.
- Experience with research, verifying information, and organizing source material.
- Experience managing multiple assignments and deadlines.
- At least one year of experience with Microsoft Office Applications.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Preferred: Minimum 3.0 GPA, relevant coursework or portfolio examples, and familiarity with content management or marketing automation tools.

- This role is based on-site at the Sherwin-Williams Global Headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio.
- A criminal history review is required for this position.
