About the role#
As a Project Engineer Intern, you will apply your academic training in a real-world construction setting. You will work alongside project managers, superintendents, and on-site staff to manage the administrative and document control requirements for our projects.
What you'll do#
- Set up and manage job document controls, including electronic systems, record drawings, and jobsite files.
- Handle the submittal process by preparing schedules, logging documents, and distributing materials for review.
- Assist with the RFI process, including recording clarification documents and preparing status reports for meetings.
- Support the project manager with subcontractor pricing, change orders, and invoice reviews.
- Monitor monthly job costs and help correct coding errors.
- Manage project closeout by tracking turnover requirements, punchlists, and required documentation.
- Assist the superintendent with QA/QC tasks, field coverage, and pre-construction activities like estimating.
- Administer green building program documentation.
- Participate in company training sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related Construction Management program at an accredited university.

- This position is located in Grand Junction, Colorado.
- The role is on-site and full-time.
- This is a paid internship with a rolling term.
