About the role#
Shaw Construction offers an internship program for students to gain experience in the construction field. You will work on-site in Denver or Grand Junction, supporting project managers and superintendents with administrative and document control tasks. This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Manage project information by setting up document controls, including jobsite files and electronic systems.
- Prepare and maintain submittal schedules, logs, and status reports for meetings.
- Assist with the RFI process by receiving, distributing, and recording clarification documents.
- Support the project manager with subcontractor pricing, change orders, and invoice reviews.
- Monitor monthly job costs and help correct coding errors.
- Administer LEED or other green program documentation.
- Manage building turnover and closeout processes, including punchlist tracking and document collection.
- Help the superintendent with QA/QC documentation and field coverage.
- Participate in company training and assist with pre-construction tasks like estimating and quantification.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management program at an accredited university.

- Compensation: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour.
