About the role#
This co-op program connects students and recent graduates with teams across Product Development, Industrial Design, Culinary, Consumer Insights, and Customer Experience. You will work on real products and active launches for the Shark and Ninja brands. The role provides exposure to the entire product development cycle, from initial research and concepting through to the final shelf appearance.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to product launches across Shark, Ninja, and Beauty categories.
- Translate consumer insights into actionable product and design decisions.
- Bring ideas to life through sketches, renderings, prototypes, wireframes, and design specifications.
- Conduct hands-on product testing and competitive research to document findings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Engineering, Marketing, and Product Management.
- Present your work and the rationale behind your decisions to design leads and leadership.
- Own a meaningful project from start to finish.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's, master's, or PhD program, or graduation within the past year in a related field.
- Ability to work a full-time, 40-hour-per-week schedule in an onsite-hybrid capacity.
- A consumer-first perspective and curiosity about how people use products in their homes.
- Strong visual and verbal storytelling skills with the ability to accept and incorporate feedback.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational instincts.
- A hands-on, resourceful approach to building and iterating on designs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- A portfolio is required if applying for Industrial Design, CMF, or UX/UI roles.
