About the role#
The Engineering & Technology Co-op program at SharkNinja connects students with teams across our electrical, embedded, software, robotics, digital, quality, test, and safety functions. You will work alongside experienced engineers on products that reach millions of homes. This role is designed for those ready to shape the next generation of Shark and Ninja products through hands-on technical contribution.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the design, development, and validation of next-generation products.
- Work hands-on in labs and at the bench, building prototypes, test fixtures, scripts, and tools.
- Support debugging, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and failure investigation.
- Develop and execute test plans, document results, and turn data into actionable recommendations.
- Participate in design reviews, sprints, stand-ups, and technical discussions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Firmware, Quality, Operations, Marketing, and Product Management.
- Gain exposure to the full product development lifecycle.
- Own a meaningful project end to end and present your contributions to SharkNinja leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current student in a bachelor's, master’s, or PhD program, or a graduate from within the past year.
- Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Quality Engineering, Information Technology, Environmental Health & Safety, or a closely related technical field.
- Strong fundamentals in your discipline and the curiosity to apply them to new problems.
- Experience with lab and test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, data loggers, hand tools, and prototyping.
- Programming or scripting experience in C, C++, Python, MATLAB, TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Kotlin, or Swift.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and product requirements.
- Strong attention to detail in testing, documentation, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Prior experience through internships, co-ops, capstones, clubs, research, or personal projects in consumer products, electronics, robotics, software, or quality.
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
