About the role#
As an Applied AI & Analytics Intern, you will join the SharkByte program to work on company-wide AI initiatives. You will partner with business and technical leaders to solve cross-functional problems. This role focuses on real-world AI deployments rather than sandbox exercises. You will have access to enterprise AI tools and AWS environments to build, test, and experiment. This internship is designed for builders who want to see their work in production.
What you'll do#
- Support the scoping and analysis of business questions by gathering and organizing data.
- Write and iterate on AI prompts to extract insights from business data.
- Assist in data cleaning and preparation.
- Build dashboards, reports, and models using AI tools.
- Identify trends, patterns, and insights within datasets.
- Use AI tools to improve efficiency and support analytical workflows.
- Contribute to agentic workflow prototypes that automate manual business processes.
- Communicate findings to stakeholders and identify data gaps or inconsistencies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's, master's, or PhD program, or graduation within the past year.
- Ability to work a full-time, 40-hour-per-week schedule.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Experience building with AI tools like LLMs, automation workflows, or agent frameworks.
- Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or similar tools.
- Experience working with real-world or messy datasets.
- A structured and logical approach to problem-solving.
- An interest in consumer products, retail, or e-commerce.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling start date.
- You must be able to work onsite at least 3 days per week.
- Locations: Miami, Florida or Needham, Massachusetts.
