About the role#
Service Wire Company is hiring an Engineering Intern for the Fall 2026 term. You will work on-site in Culloden, West Virginia, to apply your engineering knowledge to real-world manufacturing projects. You will report to the Plant Manager and collaborate with the engineering team to improve our production processes.
What you'll do#
- Revamp and develop engineering drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing processes.
- Review production materials and processes to verify BOM accuracy.
- Conduct time studies on the production floor to gather data.
- Analyze production data to make improvement recommendations to management.
- Present project status and findings to leadership.
- Document changes to drawings with support from staff engineers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or senior in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
- Proficiency with software including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Clear communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to undergo a background check.
Location & details#
- Location: Culloden, West Virginia.

- Modality: On-site.
- Physical requirements: You must be able to stand, reach, bend, and crouch. The role requires regularly lifting or moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally moving up to 100 pounds. You will work in an environment with loud noise, moving mechanical parts, and temperatures similar to outdoors.
