About the role#
Seidel Schroeder is hiring a tax intern for the Winter 2027 term. You will work alongside associates, managers, and partners to gain experience in tax planning and preparation. This is a paid, full-time position located on-site in College Station, Texas. We provide hands-on training to help you apply your accounting education in a professional setting.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns from start to finish, including individual, corporate, partnership, estate, trust, and payroll filings.
- Collaborate with team members and clients across various industries.
- Learn to use tax programs and specialized software.
- Review data to identify and resolve technical tax issues.
- Adjust client-prepared books to ensure the accuracy of tax returns.
- Research tax issues and communicate findings to the team.
- Complete additional projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Completion of Intermediates I and II accounting courses before the internship starts.
- An overall GPA of at least 3.0, with a minimum 3.0 GPA in accounting coursework.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to proofread work for accuracy.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
