The Energy Efficiency Fellow will join the Climate Corps Fellowship program to support sustainability initiatives at California State University Channel Islands. This is a full-time, 10-month fellowship beginning September 1, 2026. The fellow will assist with the management of the campus Green Revolving Fund, support the implementation of energy efficiency projects such as lighting retrofits and HVAC upgrades, and coordinate participation in utility incentive programs.
What you'll do#
- Lead the promotion and management of the campus Green Revolving Fund, including identifying eligible projects and tracking progress.
- Produce, track, manage, analyze, and communicate energy data.
- Assist project managers with the implementation of energy efficiency measures and resource savings estimates.
- Develop presentations and reports to communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders.
- Engage with campus stakeholders to advance sustainability goals and project planning.
What you'll need#
- Experience in marketing and outreach, including designing and disseminating promotional materials.
- Proven project management experience, including communicating with stakeholders and presenting data.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically the ability to create pivot tables.
- Experience or coursework in energy efficiency, renewable energy, data analysis, or program administration.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Graphic design skills or experience with design software is considered a plus.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is highly desired.
Location & details#
- Location: Camarillo, California.
- Modality: Hybrid (3 days per week on-site).
- Term: Fall 2026 (10-month duration).
- Eligibility: Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of the site.
