Buildings & Energy Fellow

About the role#

The Buildings & Energy Fellow will support sustainability initiatives with the City of Bellevue as part of the Climate Corps Fellowship program. This full-time, 14-month fellowship focuses on projects such as the Bellevue Clean Buildings Incentive Program, building electrification, renewable energy, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Fellows gain hands-on experience in program design, management, and technical assistance while contributing to the city's goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

What you'll do#

• Produce, track, manage, analyze, and communicate data.
• Develop and deliver presentations or reports.
• Build relationships with and present to internal or external clients and stakeholders.
• Research programs, policies, or resources, such as partnerships or grants.
• Design, implement, evaluate, and improve initiatives.

What you'll need#

• Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.
• Experience in energy efficiency, renewable energy, data analysis, program administration, or project management.
• Familiarity with building systems, electric vehicles, or electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and maintain an organized workflow.

• Authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship is not available).

Location & details#

• Location: Bellevue, Washington.
• Work Modality: Hybrid, with required onsite work on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
• Term: 14 months, starting September 1st, 2026.
• Eligibility: Candidates must reside within commuting distance of the site address.
