About the role#
We are looking for a Civil Engineer Intern to join our team in Duluth. This is a paid, part-time position with a rolling start date. You will work on-site and gain hands-on experience in the civil engineering field.
What you'll do#
- Assist with municipal engineering tasks.
- Perform construction inspection duties.
- Collaborate on projects of varying size and complexity.
- Gain experience with potential overtime on a variety of assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program for Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Ability to travel for team meetings, client consultations, and on-site inspections.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation.
- Experience or coursework in transportation, traffic, survey, or hydraulics and fluid dynamics.
- Background in construction inspection, monitoring, or work crew supervision.
- Ability to read roadway plans and specifications.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

- Compensation: $21 to $24 per hour based on experience and skills.
