About the role#
We are looking for a Civil Engineering Intern to join our team in Minnetonka for the Summer 2027 season. This is a part-time, paid position that involves working on municipal roadway and utility projects. You will split your time between the office and local construction sites.
What you'll do#
- Support field staff with construction observation, surveying, and staking.
- Assist engineers and project managers with design tasks and project development.
- Draft project information using AutoCAD.
- Maintain communication with contractors, clients, and internal staff.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program for Civil Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Reliable transportation to travel between the office and nearby construction sites.
- Ability to travel for team meetings and client consultations.
- Previous experience with AutoCAD is preferred.
- Knowledge of roadway plans and specifications is a plus.
- Prior experience in construction inspection or crew supervision is helpful.
