About the role#
This internship offers full immersion in athletic training services for Seattle Reign FC. You will work closely with professional athletes and the medical staff, including the Medical Director and athletic trainers, to gain clinical experience. This role supports the team at home matches and training sessions. You will be expected to maintain professional standards while working in a team environment.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate, assess, and document injuries.
- Provide pre- and post-training treatments.
- Facilitate rehab programming.
- Manage hydration and medical equipment set up and take down for training and match days.
- Support match day operations, including stretcher crew duties.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Master of Science program in Athletic Training from a CAATE accredited institution.
- Ability to receive academic credit for this internship.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Completion of SafeSport training.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, on-site role based in Tukwila, Washington.
- You must reside in Washington state and provide your own transportation.
- The schedule follows the team calendar, requiring flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- You must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Physical requirements include standing for extended periods and lifting at least 20 pounds.
