Intern, Master Scheduling

About the role#

As an Intern in Master Scheduling, you will gain hands-on experience in production planning and coordination at the Seaspan Operations Center. Working alongside experienced planners, you will help maintain alignment between integrated master schedules and enterprise resource planning systems to ensure accurate, up-to-date information for vessel construction. You will develop an understanding of ship build strategies, scheduling tools, and production workflows while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to keep projects on track.

What you'll do#

• Maintain alignment between integrated master schedules and enterprise resource planning systems (IFS/Oracle).
• Support responsible planners in maintaining standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Maintain the Master Scheduling SharePoint site with the most current information.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders as required to support project objectives.
• Gain an understanding of general build strategies and L3 activities in the integrated master schedule.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a 2nd or 3rd year degree program in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to understand and interpret build strategy documents and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with document management systems and database tools.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to support continuous improvement in production processes.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Location & details#

• Location: North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada (On-site at 50 Pemberton Avenue).
• Term: Fall 2026 (September 8, 2026, to December 18, 2026).
• Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
• Compensation: $28.00 per hour.
