Intern, Quality Assurance

About the role#

The Quality Assurance Intern will join the Quality Assurance Team to support the maintenance and improvement of the Seaspan Quality Management System. This role involves ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 requirements and gaining cross-functional exposure to departments such as Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, and Production. The intern will assist in core QA processes, including document information, audit management, management of change, and risk management.

What you'll do#

• Support the Quality Assurance Team in the execution of Inspection Test Plans, shop order audits, data collection, and process development.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and provide innovative approaches to evaluating inspection requirements.
• Collaborate with planning, execution, and support teams to maintain functional processes.
• Improve document control procedures.
• Assist in the analysis of building strategies and support inspection preparations as directed by the manager.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in the 2nd or 3rd year of a post-secondary degree program in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or Logistics.
• Strong interest in Quality or Project Management disciplines.
• Demonstrated awareness and basic understanding of ISO 9001 requirements.
• Excellent analytical skills to gather, analyze, and process large volumes of data.
• Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain a security clearance through the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.

• Location: North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
• Work Modality: Full-time, on-site.
• Term: Fall 2026 (September 8, 2026 – December 18, 2026).
• Compensation: Paid position at $28.00 per hour.
