    About the role#

    The Intern, Production Support will gain hands-on experience in production planning, bill of materials management, and the integration of planning, procurement, and manufacturing. You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and production teams to support the delivery of shipbuilding projects.

    What you'll do#

    • Review engineering drawings.
    • Manage and understand bills of materials.
    • Update planned shop orders and incorporate changes into production schedules.
    • Review and maintain data within ERP and document control systems.
    • Liaise with engineering, production support, operations, and other stakeholders as required.
    • Apply run rules for material availability and inventory management practices.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in the 3rd or 4th year of a technical engineering program (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or Mechatronics).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
    • Working knowledge of CAD software (Navisworks, Ship Constructor, and AutoCAD preferred).
    • Experience with ERP software tools for material and inventory planning is preferred.
    • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

    Location & details#

    • Location: North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
    • Term: Fall 2026 (September 8, 2026, to December 18, 2026).
    • Modality: Full-time, 40 hours per week, fully on-site.
    • Compensation: $28.00 per hour.
    • Security: This position is subject to a security clearance through the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
