About the role#
The Intern, Production Support will gain hands-on experience in production planning, bill of materials management, and the integration of planning, procurement, and manufacturing. You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and production teams to support the delivery of shipbuilding projects.
What you'll do#
- Review engineering drawings.
- Manage and understand bills of materials.
- Update planned shop orders and incorporate changes into production schedules.
- Review and maintain data within ERP and document control systems.
- Liaise with engineering, production support, operations, and other stakeholders as required.
- Apply run rules for material availability and inventory management practices.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in the 3rd or 4th year of a technical engineering program (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or Mechatronics).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Working knowledge of CAD software (Navisworks, Ship Constructor, and AutoCAD preferred).
- Experience with ERP software tools for material and inventory planning is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Location: North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 8, 2026, to December 18, 2026).
- Modality: Full-time, 40 hours per week, fully on-site.
- Compensation: $28.00 per hour.
- Security: This position is subject to a security clearance through the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
